Back To School

I wonder how the kids will feel walking through the gates,

They’ve waited so long to see their mates.

Everything’s different and not like before,

There’re at least three new rules and maybe more.

Keeping in your bubble and moving around,

No more mixing for games in the playground.

Breakfast club is cancelled which could be a drag,

Bring your packed lunch in a plastic bag.

Children soon adapt and won’t even care,

They’ll just get on with it and still be aware.

You’ll still hear the laughter and the sounds of fun,

Long after COVID-19 has been and gone.
