It’s funny how when a relationship ends,
You find it hard to even be friends.
All of the happy times are soon forgot,
Thrown in the bin, whether you like it or not.
Both of you have a story to be told,
All your times together you let unfold.
If only you’d communicated at the start,
You might still be together and not apart.
Staying off your phones and just plain talking,
What an easy solution to stop the other from walking.
There’ll always be excuses, that goes without saying,
Make time to be silly and have fun playing.
You were joined together and became a team,
Remember those vows and all that they mean.
Yes, it might be easy just to call it a day,
Look at the bigger picture before you throw it all away.
