The Pride in Ageing Advisory Group, part of the LGBT Foundation, is particularly looking for people of colour, trans & non-binary applicants over the age of 50 who are living in Greater Manchester for their new volunteer representative role.
The Pride in Ageing programme was set up in response to concerns that too many lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people over the age of 50 are living in isolation and are facing discrimination.
The group meet once a month for presentations and discussions and receive regular email updates about involvement and activities.
Research projects and special events are also often extended to members.
The LGBT Foundation, which serves over 40,000 people every year, actively encourages underrepresented people to come forward for their staff and volunteer roles.
