Old Teddy Bear

It’s funny how your teddy bear can be as old as you,

Every time you had a birthday, they would have one too.

It might not have both arms and legs, but you don’t really care,

Its always been beside you and you took it everywhere.

Always bringing comfort whenever you felt down,

Bringing back your smile when you were about to frown.

Both boys and girls just love them and no one questioned why,

Apart from when you lost it and that would make you cry.

There’s only ever one that’s the closest to your heart,

It’s easy to spot, it’s the one that’s falling apart.

If only this little bear could talk, I wonder what he’d say,

Bring him out of the cupboard, don’t keep him locked away.
