Pandemic has made Mancunians more adventurous and spontaneous says new research

Just over half of people in Manchester (55%) say that they are ready to ‘live life to the fullest’ when coronavirus restrictions lift, according to research from Virgin Red.

Nearly a quarter of people (23%) say they are more adventurous than before the pandemic and 36% feel more spontaneous.

After more than a year of tough restrictions, the top three most desired experiences for people in the region are penguin feeding, a hot air balloon ride and a helicopter ride.

Do you have anything on your bucket list?

The government will announce on July 12 whether or not the majority of restrictions can be lifted on July 19.

Masks, social distancing and limits on social contact could be scrapped and venues can return to normal capacities.

Kelly Best, Virgin Red’s Chief Marketing Officer, says: “From sausage rolls to spaceport tours, Virgin Red has it all – no other rewards programme in the world can offer the breadth that we can within the Virgin family and there really is something for everyone – particularly for Mancunians who are so keen to live life to the full.

“I’m proud that Virgin Points never expire, plus by simply doing your everyday shop via Virgin Red, members will be earning thousands of points in no time – so that they can spend them on the things they value most.”

Anyone can now sign-up to Virgin Red for free and can create their unique Wish List from a choice of rewards to be in with a chance of winning prizes such as holidays, gym memberships and hotel stays.
