What A Strange Year

What a strange year up to now this has been,

It’s opened our eyes as to what we have seen.

We had our instructions and a letter from Boris,

Only this week we lost the lovely Tony Morris.

Captain Tom definitely played his part,

All that he did came from his 100 year old heart.

Schools had to close with no date of a return.

Parents became teachers and helped the kids learn.

Businesses have been lost cos they couldn’t stay open,

Families lost loved ones and they were truly heartbroken.

The NHS and key workers never gave up the fight,

We clapped at our doors every Thursday night.

We still continue today going through this stormy weather,

But look on the bright side, we can get through it together.
